Phone Bhoot Movie Story
Phone Bhoot is a movie that takes you to a laughing riot but you have the taste for whacky things. The story and treatment of the movie are simple. Major and Gullu are two unemployed young men who aspire of becoming exorcists and ghostbusters in order to earn their living.
Since childhood, they dream of becoming a ghostbuster and they keep on watching a lot of horror movies. They stay at a rented house where they always pray to their close friend ‘Raka’ to help them. They found that statue of Raka while digging across a hill.
One fine day they decide to host a ghost Halloween party at midnight. Some electric current passes through them while mending Raka’s eyes Unfortunately both of them are electrocuted during this and they fall unconscious to the ground.
During their state of unconscious, they enter into a different realm of the dead, where they happen to meet Ragini, a benevolent ghost. She promises to help them achieve their desires and wealth in return for a favor that she would ask them to do later on.
Mesmerized by her beauty and charm, both Major and Gullu fall flat for her and agree to help with her business dealings. The deal was to help attain moksha (salvation) for depraved souls by exposing the criminals who had wronged those souls while they were living.
In return for this favor, both Major and Gullu would earn a lumpsome amount of money and they would have to contribute a certain proportion of their earned money to the families of those souls.
After Major and Gullu regain consciousness, they are surprised to see Ragini in their house who had appeared in their dream. Now they believe that they have a special power of seeing the ghost.
Inspired by Ragini’s idea both Major and Gullu start their own “Phone Bhoot” company and Ragini helps them in their business. Eventually, their business grows and they become famous. Then we have a bad soul Atmaram, an evil Tantrik who learns of the Phone Bhoot company and plans to destroy them.
There is another story attached to it that Ragini is the lover of the late king “Raja Dushyant Singh” and they both were murdered on the highway in a car crash. Later on, Atmaram captures Ragini in a bottle during the day of the lunar eclipse using his evil tantrik powers . Major and Gullu realise that Ragini had used them and manipulated them to seek revenge.
When they are about to go back, they are confronted by another benevolent ghost regarding the accident and the truth. They come to know that Ragini is in danger. They both help her and liberate both Ragini and Dushyant and Atmaram is caught in hell fire. Major and Gullu both bid adieu to Rajini and Dushyant while promising to help in the future.
The music is average but in the movie, the songs just fit in. Ishaan and Siddhant are good dancers and kudos to the choreography. The movie has been treated very differently and the dialogues which are picked up from past songs and past movies are just awesome. Good work by the team. A special mention to Ishaan and Siddhant’s acting. The movie could have gone either way. It was just the lead pair’s sheer magic on-screen.

Phone Bhoot Movie Review
Phone Bhoot directed by Gurmmeet Singh is a movie with a difference. To be honest, after watching the trailer, I was not expecting much from the film but the trio (Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khattar, and Siddhant Chaturvedi) proved me wrong.
This is the first time that Ishaan Katrina and Siddhant are working together. However, this is Katrina’s third venture with Excel Entertainment after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Baar Baar Dekho. The chemistry between Ishaan and Siddhant is mind-blowing.
The film sets the tone from the disclaimer itself, it’s wacky, it’s stupid, it’s absurd, but most importantly, it’s FUN. Phone Bhoot consists of a lot of pop culture references, be it the tone of the narrator or the countless puns and references present throughout the film which usually hit the mark. Even the intermission has humor in it. I have never seen any such movie in Bollywood. A brave effort!
An absurdly fun ride despite the weak climax
Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, And Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Film Are Wacky, Wild, And Weird. The film isn’t an earth-shattering, game-changing deal for the genre but it has the feel of a full-on mad hatters’ party where everything goes.
This dial-a-ghostbuster comedy is a riot
The Time of India
The Greatest Meme Of All Memes Ft. Extremely Hilarious Siddhant Chaturvedi & Ishaan Khatter, Also Katrina Kaif!
Katrina Kaif’s horror-comedy is an animated show all the way.
The Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi film, Bollywood’s latest offering in the horror comedy genre, is downright silly and nonsensical in parts and fun in others. Katrina Kaif’s horror-comedy is silly and full of plot holes, but occasionally enjoyable
The Hindustan Times
Katrina Kaif-Ishaan-Siddhant’s film is painfully unfunny.
