Sardar Udham Singh was announced on 4 March 2019, by film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account, revealing the details of the film. Principal photography commenced on 30 April 2019 and shooting locations were Europe, Russia, London, Ireland, Germany and India. The first look was released on 30 April 2019. The film is scheduled for release on 15 January 2021.
